The collection is one of the best surviving examples of the tools at a surgeon's disposal in the first century BCE.

Panasonic's 150" TV I went to Panasonic HQ to check out one of the first prototypes of their ludicrous 150-inch plasma TV. This thing puts the 103-incher that I checked out last year to shame, weighing a whopping 1700 pounds before the stand is attached.

]]>
As Goofy put it, "I love you".

The second photo where you see the person in front of the entire TV shows just how monstrous a 150" TV actually is.

Slacker Uprising Michael Moore's latest documentary "Slacker Uprising" has been released on his website as a free download.

There is also a $9.95 option to buy the DVD which has extras.

]]>
All documentaries are slanted in one direction and I don't always agree with Michael Moore's, but they are interesting.

Awkward A Des Moines, Iowa, Community College handbook with a typographical error that the school president says is unfortunate and offensive was handed out to some 10,000 students before the problem was discovered.

A calendar entry for Feb. 16, 2009, was supposed to read, "Black History Lunch and Learn" for an event on the West Des Moines campus.

Instead, it says "Black History Linch and Learn."

World's Most Disgusting Apartment We had a resident who had an outstanding balance for over a month and no one could get ahold of her. The Bookkeeper went inside after so many tries to leave a note and this is what we found.

The pictures do no justice. There is suppose to be 2 cats living here but we cant find them (we think they're dead somewhere inside the apartment -- we contacted the SPCA). The place reeks to say the least, I gagged non stop.

]]>
Some of these photos are not for the feint of heart.

I hope someone tells me that this is fake, since it's bloody disgusting, and I can't believe anyone could turn an apartment into this.

Ontario man charged in Greyhound bus stabbing A 28-year-old man has been charged in connection with a reported stabbing onboard a Greyhound bus in rural Ontario Sunday, a chilling reminder of the murder of a Winnipeg man on another bus two months ago.

I'm telling you, busses drive people crazy.

London's Rolling Bridge The Rolling Bridge, located on the Paddington Basin in London, was created by Thomas Heatherwick.

Rather than a conventional opening bridge mechanism, consisting of a single rigid element that lifts to let boats pass, the Rolling Bridge gets out of the way by curling up until its two ends touch.

]]>
Pretty neat looking bridge. I think it would have been a lot cooler if it closed and opened much faster.

Mister Bookseller Mister Bookseller is unsurprisingly about a bookseller, but what's curious is that his shop seems to have a copy of each book ever -- in fact, it has all the books ever.

I came across this short comic today and it's a really great story. I highly advise you take the few minutes to read it.

Working At Disney Like everyone, I grew up going to Disneyland. Even as an adult I loved it there and went at least once a month. I was an annual pass holder, I'd see the park's characters and think, "It'd be so cool to work here."

]]>
A very interesting report on what it's like to work at Disney.

Anyone who has been to Disney World knows that it runs like clockwork, so reading just how they work isn't that surprising, and it's probably required.

Enzyte Owner Sentenced To 25 Years Steve Warshak, founder of the company responsible for "Enzyte," has been sentenced to 25 years in prison and ordered to pay a fine of $93,000, and also ordered the company, along with other defendants, to forfeit more than $500 million that it bilked from consumers.

The scam required customers, who ordered the pills, to provided notarized documents from a doctor proving that they had small genitals if they wanted to cancel or obtain a refund.

]]>
This reminds me of that scene from Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels.
